Senior HR Generalist 

 

Next STEPS Worldwide is an innovative and rapidly growing outpatient clinic providing comprehensive psychological, therapeutic and nutrition services for all populations across the lifespan.  

 

Next STEPS passionately believes in a multidisciplinary team approach within an outpatient office setting. Our team consists of licensed psychologists, therapists, dietitians, and provider support specialists who collaborate regularly to offer the highest level of client care possible to ensure client success. Headquartered in McKinney, Next STEPS currently has 27 locations across Texas with more locations in various cities opening soon.  

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team of experts who take a leadership role on our team.  

 

The Senior Human Resources Generalist needs to be driven, innovative and customer centric so they can engage top talent for a variety of roles within the organization. The person in this role will have exceptional relationship building and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail and follow through. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist in creation and rollout company-wide policies and programs. 

  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws standards and government regulations. 

  • Manage all leave programs and workers compensation. 

  • Conduct employee investigation as needed. 

  • Manage open enrollment, benefits, and 401K programs 

  • Act as a HIPAA compliance officer for the company 

  • Serve as the back-up for payroll. 

  • Creates and maintains employee files and performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents have been received and filed per department protocols. 

  • Tracks and maintains compensation changes to budget. 

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leadership and employees regarding employment issues, including but not limited to: policy and procedure, interpretation/application, performance management, corrective action, internal investigations and separations. 

  • Talent Acquisition 

  • Conduct onboarding/offboarding for team members. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

  • 3+ years of direct HR experience 

  • 1+ years talent acquisition experience to include sourcing, screening and interviewing. 

  • Ability to resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law. 

  • Experience developing and negotiating job offers. 

  • Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, and legislation relating to employment law practices 

  • Ability to interpret and adhere to company policies and protocols. 

  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization. 

  • Possess effective analytical skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. 

  • Ability to manage details and complexity, to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure. 

  • Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process. 

  • Skilled in verbal and written communications. 

  • Be discrete and safe guard confidential information. 

  • Possess integrity and compliance – can be relied upon to act ethically. 

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.  

  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required. 

  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required. 

  • Healthcare experience preferred. 
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
