Executive Summary
We are seeking a strategic, resourceful, and high-performing Associate, Growth Merchant Lead to drive our client’s expansion in emerging markets. In this field-focused Outside Sales role, you will win new business across a dedicated geography—primarily rural, untapped markets—by pitching, negotiating, and closing agreements with the best local and regional restaurants. The role offers direct exposure to market strategy, access to sales tools, and strong earning potential through uncapped commission, all while contributing to our client's overall growth in new territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to and expand their footprint in emerging and rural markets by targeting and closing new restaurant partnerships
- Pitch their platform, negotiate revenue share agreements, and close deals efficiently in a fast-paced, transactional field sales cycle
- Own and execute the full sales cycle, leveraging both inside and outside sales tactics, sales sheets, gift cards, business cards, and other collateral
- Maintain regular coordination with a Regional Sales Manager for strategy, support, and market visibility
- Comply with company travel policies; travel up to 50% or more—including day trips (within 2 hours) and overnight stays as needed
- Represent our client professionally with restaurant owners and community stakeholders
- Build and refine sales playbooks and strategies for scalable, repeatable success
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2.5 years of outside sales experience
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel regularly, including extended drives (6-7 hours) and overnight stays, with costs covered by company
- Entrepreneurial, high-energy approach with an ability to thrive in fast-paced, transactional cycles
- Efficient with both inside and outside sales strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in the field
