Executive Summary
We are seeking a strategic, resourceful, and high-performing Employee Relations Business Partner to independently manage employee relations (ER) cases and resolve complex workplace matters. You will play a pivotal role in supporting leaders through team challenges, executing policy alignment, and providing risk assessments, investigations, and interventions on matters with operational or reputational sensitivity. You will work closely with Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Legal, and People Team Leadership to provide high-quality support and guidance while helping to enhance workplace culture and organizational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently lead investigations into employee concerns and policy violations.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to HRBPs and business leaders, advising on disciplinary decisions, performance conversations, and employee interventions.
  • Assess risk, document findings, and recommend fair, consistent resolutions.
  • Conduct structured fact-finding, employee interviews, and workplace assessments.
  • Identify patterns and systemic issues in ER cases and collaborate on process and policy improvements.
  • Provide coaching to people leaders on employee conflict, feedback, and difficult conversations.
  • Support ER-related training initiatives and mentor Level 4 ER Specialists on case handling practices.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 4+ years’ experience in employee relations, human resources, conflict resolution, or workplace compliance.
  • Proven experience handling employee relations matters and providing guidance to employees and managers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple simultaneous cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain policies and outcomes to various stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented with strong balancing of business needs, fairness, and compliance.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient with case management systems or HR technology tools.
Nice to Have
  • HR or ER certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience in high-growth environments (tech/startup preferred).
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices in employee relations.
  • Experience conducting training or coaching on workplace policies.
