Position Overview
A leading innovation-focused team is seeking two detail-oriented Facilities and Logistics Associates to keep workshop and logistics operations functioning seamlessly. The Facilities and Logistics Associate is responsible for the smooth operation, organization, and safety of their respective site. This key support role provides a reliable working environment for engineers and project teams through managing deliveries, facility organization, and interoffice logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming shipping and receiving, greet vendors and service personnel, and ensure timely delivery routing.
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized, and professional workspace, including the shop entryway and front area.
- Oversee logical, safe storage and tracking of parts, tools, and materials.
- Coordinate the shipment of materials between offices and workshops as needed.
- Take on light facilities tasks such as assembling furniture, arranging safe disposal of batteries and hazardous materials, and supporting vendor service visits.
- Serve as a primary on-site point of contact with facilities management for issue resolution.
- Support engineering and project teams with day-to-day operational needs and miscellaneous shop projects.
- Actively uphold safety, cleanliness, and efficiency standards within the workspace.
Skills & Qualifications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to tasks.
- Comfortable in a hands-on, physical shop environment and maintaining worksite tidiness.
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors.
- Resourceful, with a knack for problem-solving and operational improvements.
- Takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and functional workplace.
- Valid US driver’s license with the ability to drive between Bay Area locations as required (MVR check mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in facilities operations, shipping/receiving, or similar logistics support roles.
- Familiarity with the handling/disposal of hazardous materials, such as batteries and solvents.
- Basic assembly and maintenance skills for furniture and shop organization.
- Previous work with facilities management or operations teams is a plus.
