Position Overview
A logistics-focused team is seeking a Logistics Coordinator responsible for overseeing shipment deliveries and transportation processes. This role focuses on developing strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, managing logistics schedules, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource planning and service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics schedules between merchants, internal teams, and distribution centers.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Build and tender shipments to partner carriers; arrange special shipping as needed.
- Track and resolve shipping errors, prepare bills and invoices, and maintain accurate pre/post-shipment administration.
- Ensure all logistics services meet standards and SLAs; handle proof of delivery, overages, shortages, and damage claims.
- Regularly audit logistics procedures, recommend improvements, and develop a high-level view of organizational capabilities.
- Optimize transport planning for customers and stakeholders.
- Address special service requests, collaborating with transportation providers and freight payment teams for cost management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve safety, service, and operational issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a logistics or transportation role.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and optimize processes.
