Position Overview

A leading retail-focused organization is seeking a Retail Merchandising Associate to manage merchandising programs aimed at increasing customer awareness, engagement, and conversion across a digital marketplace. The successful candidate will execute the full merchandising lifecycle, collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure every initiative—from trend identification to on-platform placement—drives measurable performance results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end merchandising campaigns designed to connect off-platform discovery to in-app conversion.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Growth, Analytics, and operational teams to design, launch, and continuously optimize merchandising strategies.
  • Support a variety of campaigns—both monetary and non-monetary—in partnership with merchants and marketing teams, ensuring seamless and high-quality execution.
  • Stay attuned to cultural, seasonal, and trend-based signals to ensure merchandising initiatives remain relevant and dynamic, adapting to viral products, trending categories, and new releases.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics (CTR, CVR, gross order value, engagement) to inform ongoing management and improvements.
  • Maintain high standards of retail storytelling, balancing merchant brand objectives with customer relevance.
  • Create, maintain, and contribute to playbooks and SOPs that codify merchandising best practices for the organization.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years’ experience in merchandising, marketing operations, or category management (experience in tech, e-commerce, retail, or marketplaces preferred).
  • Highly data-driven and creative, comfortable making balanced decisions that reflect both analytics and creative insight.
  • Strong sense of ownership; proactive in process improvements and scalable results.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity; thrives in environments where experimentation and iterative learning are valued.
  • Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration abilities; can manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with merchandising or marketing analytics platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with SEO, paid media, or affiliate marketing programs.
  • Understanding of retail category dynamics.
