Tooling Governance/Procurement Assistant

  • To provide support to the Tooling Procurement Process. 
  • Generation of SAP records. 
  • To provide support in the Governance of all Component Supplier related Tooling ensuring support to Procurement.
  • Support the Supplier Qualification/Capability Matrix including DSA & Quality reporting.
  • Support the Disposal Program, Support Internal Tooling Audits across Build Lines & Stores. 
  • Support the Maintenance of the DI's & Processes.
  • Support the MSM & Goods Receipting Process.


Departmental Governance Support Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Departmental Functional Manual, Departmental Instructions, and Processes in support of the LH-OS.
  • Generation, up issuing, completion, and deletion of SAP Tooling Notifications, Equipment Masters, and Material Masters.
  • Uploading of tool drawings to SAP Document Management System.
  • Resolving and distributing of Tooling invoice queries.
  • Tool Control SAP Kit Compliance.


Tooling Procurement Responsibilities 

(Tooling Governance section relies on having 4 personnel in order to carry out procurement activities due to segregation of duties, and ensuring personnel cover.)

  • Generation of tooling Requests for Quotation.
  • Tooling quote processing.
  • Generation of tooling Purchase Requisitions.
  • Goods Receipting processing including the DMS uploading of all relevant documentation.


Key Role Accountabilities 

  • Tool Control management support.
  • Assist with carrying out an MSM activity liaising with Internal & External Suppliers to ensure Delivery Schedule Adherence.
  • Have an understanding of SAP/TCMAX interface supporting Central Tooling, TCE & DCC.
  • Assist with tooling asset management.
  • Support Logistics Hub liaisons.
  • Support tooling audits, including; internal tooling asset audits, Supplier Purchase Order Audits, and Tooling Supplier Approval audits.

Skills required 

  • Basic numeracy and literacy qualifications.
  • Level 3 BTEC or equivalent.
  • Data analysing skills.
